Video Poker is a very simple game and very similar to regular poker. Your bet must be between $1 and $100. A new deck is used for each hand. After you are dealt your initial hand, you may discard up to 5 cards and receive a new card for each one discarded. The payouts for different types of hands are shown below. Unlike roulette, you only receive the payout and not the payout plus the original bet. Thus, if you have a pair (less than Jacks), you break even since the payout is 1 to 1 (you only get the payout and not the payout plus the original bet).
