The newest in Macintosh technology, this computer is incredibly fast. In a head-to-head test the G4 doubled the speed of a 600 MHz Pentium III. I suggest getting a G4 over a G3 only because it will eventually supplant the G3 as it is rendered obsolete. For now you can only pre-order 3 different models that should be shipping soon (the 400 MHz models is anyways). All have 1 MB of L2 cache, a 56K modem, large hard drives (at least 10 GB), and large amounts of RAM. The 500 MHz will come with a DVD-RAM (DVD recorder) installed. Click for more info & specs:
