RTCW Friends

As a rule of thumb, if something moves in RTCW, you should shoot it. There are a few exceptions along the way. These people are either friends who will help you or innocent bystanders. Do not shoot them or you fail the mission! They are easy to spot because your aiming reticule will turn into a big red do-not-shoot symbol when you aim at them.

Kessler

You meet Kessler in Mission 1, Part 3: Tram Ride. He is your contact in Wulfburg. He is a member of the German resistance group "Kreisau Circle" and has infiltrated the Nazi's SS Parnormal Division. He will help you escape from the castle and will also give you some food, ammo, and weapons (Sniper Scope and Thompson) before sending you on your way at the begining of Mission 2, Part 1: Village.

Karl Villigut

Karl is another member of Kreisau Circle that you meet in Mission 2, Part 1: Village. In his home, you will receive food, ammo, a Flak Jacket, and a Sten.

Defecting Scientist

In Mission 4, Part 1: Kugelstadt, you must help rescue a scientist from the Nazi's Secret Weapons Facility. This scientist is defecting to the Allies and as such the Nazis are trying to kill him. If you do not defend him well enough he will die and you will fail the mission. You have two members of the Kreisau Circle helping you protect him.

Kreisau Agents

These two agents will assist you in Mission 4, Part 1: Kugelstadt. They are armed with MP40s and are defending the Defecting Scientist. If these Agents die from Nazi fire, you will not fail the mission; however, if you kill one of them, you fail the mission.

Innocent Villagers

In the villages that you visit, there are several innocent citizens. In a strange coincidence, they are all women. Their job in the village varies. One is a cafe waitress, another is a hotel clerk, and a third is Major Hochstedder's mistress. Usually, they will run away from you and cower; ocassionally, they show no fear.
