RTCW Expansion Pack:
Enemy Territory

The expansion pack for Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released on May 28, 2003 as a free stand-alone game; this means that you do not need RTCW to play the expansion. You also will not need to pay for it since it is being provided for free. Eventhough they are calling it an expansion pack, it really isn't an expansion. In reality, it is probably the best freeware game ever released. Pretty impressive for a game franchise to have one of the best freeware programs and one of the best shareware programs.

Like I said, the full game is a free download, but they are also including it with the Platinum Edition of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The Platinum Edition is just the Game of the Year Edition with Enemy Territory included. There is no reason to buy the Platinum Edition if you already have RTCW.

Enemy Territory was developed by Splash Damage. Splash Damage made 3 of the extra multiplayer maps included in the Game of the Year Edition of RTCW (mp_tram, mp_dam, mp_rocket).

Single player was not included in the release eventhough it was originally planned; this is a multiplayer only game.

There are many new multiplayer maps and changes. Check out the list of changes.
